Gannon Buhr won his first win of the season this weekend. He went wire-to-wireRD Kansas City Wide Open was introduced by Underpar and -24 to win with four blows. This is another three-goal in the season when Buhr won the previous two Kcwos (a silver event in 2023 and a Q series in 2024). Buhr started sizzling and did not look back and took the course on Friday with a 1095 rated 145 under the parliamentary record. In the FPO, Holyn Handley held the indictment from Cadence Burge and carded a -5 on Sunday to achieve her second DGPT win of the season.
MPO summary:
Gannon Buhr was the clear favorite that came up this weekend and proved that he deserved it when he went to his first win of the season from DGPT. Buhr did everything in the first round on the way to shoot a 1095 nominal value of 14 under par. Gannon's fireworks belonged to seven of the first eight holes Birdieging, and his impressive round gave him a lead of six bars against Kylle Klein in second place in the weekend.
After powerful starts, Paul Mcbeth, Ricky Wysocki and Ezra Aderhold stayed hunting. All three shot -9 in round two to keep in a long stone throw from Buhr. Buhr also shot a -9 on Saturday and secured a seven shot pillow that went in Bad Rock Creek on Sunday.
The last day brought complex weather conditions, which briefly reduced the last round to the front nine for MPO. Buhr was able to spin through the last round to win with four blows, and only shot down during the day. Gannon fought with an opening bogey and a double on three, but gathered, carded four birdies and a par to close the front nine and secure his first win of 2025. His signature shot for the day was a forehand -up shot from a knee on Loch Six, where he formed it through the trees to put it within 10 feet.
The field did his best to catch Gannon in nine holes. Ricky made the best effort with -4 to take second place. Paul Mcbeth rounded off the podium with -18.
Gavin Rathbun took the fourth (-16), Kyle Klein to the fifth (-14) and Calvin Heimburg, Isaac Robinson, and Chris Dickerson ended the tournament with a tournament for sixth place at -13.
In addition to his top ten finish, Dickerson provided Eagle on Hole One with his 280-foot throw-in with his 280-foot throw-in.
Joey Buckets and Eagle McMahon had solid weekends and rounded the top ten with a tie for ninth place at 12 under par.

My choice for the first PDGA Pro Major Champion of the 2025 season is Gannon Buhr. . Gannon shows signs of the rule he had last season and now has his first victory of the year under his belt. The dynamics of KCWO, combined with its overall knowledge, will probably bring him to victory next week.
I would also expect Paul and Ricky to be factors, and I could see how Ricky sneaks up for victory and ended his great drought. The two keys for Ricky, who were able to distribute him into the winner: on Thursday to shoot the sizzling round and make his circle two putts. In three of the five tournaments during the opening line, Wysocki recorded his highest score of the tournament in the opening round. Coating from circle two is always a factor, but with Ricky it is so much more. C2 makes him momentum and Ricky, who plays with momentum, gives him the best shot in victory.
The former winners of the OTB Open include Calvin Heimburg, Emerson Keith, Simon Lizotte and Eagle McMahon. When Buhr has a bad week, we may see the end of the gigantic drought that continues to exist during the beginning of Calvin Heimburg's career. As a former champion at this venue, where he defeated Gannon Buhr with nine strokes on the way to his victory, it seems as if the opportunities for Calvin's favor could be. However, Calvin has not yet found the podium this year, so he is not really a victory in 2025. Only the time will say, but I am confident that Calvin will end in the first Pro major of the year.

Holyn Handley took the lead after the first day and did not look back when she shot a -19 to win the KCWO, her second DGPT win of the season.
Cadence Burge was Holyn's main challenger on Sunday. With Ella Hansen, Burge scored a hit from -6 round two to go to the places with -10. Burge had to overcome a four -stroke deficit in the last round to have a chance of winning. They existed everything she had and carded nine birdies on the way to a -7, but Holyn was able to win and put enough birdies together at the front nine to hold on for the two time.
Ella Hansen had a powerful tournament to secure her third place. She played consistently all weekend and turned -5, -5 and -4. On Friday, Ella made four birdies in a row in the back nine and repeated it on Saturday at the front nine, starting with the Deice on hole two.
Missy Gannon received an indictment on Saturday to climb the lead card to the last round on Sunday. On the moving day (round 2) she shot three to put three places on fourth place. She parked holes 7, 8 and 9 with first -class trips and made a clutch edge of Circle Birdie Putt on the last day. Missy pressed a -5 on the last day, but couldn't catch Holyn, Cadence or Ella.
The tournament ended in fifth place with Scoggins. She was in after the first day, but she reset an even second round. Scoggins gathered for the last round and shot four under par.
Kat Mertsch gave us a witty highlight overdue in the first roundTH. Mertsch ended the tournament in 6TH at -7.
FPO snack:
Holyn Handley is the second best player behind Kristin Lätt, and if she puts her together for an entire tournament, she will fight almost everywhere. Holyn played well all week and made three critical birdies and two on their backs at the beginning of the last round to achieve their second win of the season.
Cadence Burge had another impressive tournament after her fifth place at MCO a few weeks ago. After the first round, she didn't go C1X putt after the first round and went 25 25 on Saturday and Sunday to improve and be at the top of the ranking a few times.
Missy Gannon is still consistent and was not yet able to put together a dominant tournament this year. We will see if she can find a different equipment for the first Pro major of the year.

Holyn Handley has to play almost perfect golf, or Kristin has to make himself of it. If one of them happens, Holyn has a good chance of winning the victory.
Silva Saarinen achieved a powerful second place at The Music City Open, where she brought Kristin to a playoff. I think this will be a similar story at the Champions Cup, in which Saarinen is the main source of print on Kristin on Sunday of the championship.
Ella Hansen won on this route last year and has an outstanding season. An outstanding performance could lead to it becoming a gigantic champion for the first time
The outsider with the story is Paige Pierce. Pierce won in Swenson Park in 2021, 2022 and 2023. If you can employ this way of thinking for champion and start strongly, after a slower start to the 2025 season, she could be the California Wildcard.
